LEGS
Do you spend countless hours hammering away at your legs and fail to see desired results?
Most people either overtrain their legs or completely neglect them. The legs are the most powerful muscle in the body, but the weakest on most people. Its not often you see a great pair of legs with an underdeveloped upper body. Many times, intense leg training is denied and replaced with an all out marathon. A quality leg training session is demanding, hard-core, and yet brief. One reason legs are ignored is because its challenging. Its a LOT easier to push heavy weight with the chest and arms since these areas respond rapidly. The true warriors build a matching pair of legs to compliment their upper physique. Often times, the legs fail to receive proper attention due to lack of sufficient warm up. If you dont warm up your legs properly, you will lack the intensity needed for an ultimate workout. The presses are the power movements, such as leg press and squats, but squats are the daddy of leg training. If you want thick quads, you have to squat. Extensions, lunges, sissy squats, and hack squats are good finishers, while deadlifts and leg curls are dedicated to the hamstrings. There is no need in trying to hit the leg from every conceivable angle in one workout. If you train properly by incorporating form and intensity, you can accomplish a lot. Its best to use heavy weight, low repetitions, and minimal sets. Shocking the legs once a month with moderate weight, high repetitions, and more sets will keep you bursting through plateaus and keep the quads growing.Keep an accurate journal of your leg training to track your progress. This will keep you ahead of the game and will give promising results.
